It depends on a variety of factors such as the system production (the more kWh of energy your photovoltaic solar system produces, the more you can save), energy prices (if energy prices increase, so does your kWh production value) and self-consumption (whether you keep solar for yourself or sell it).
This is a very simple explanation, if you need more details you can call us on xxx.
1. The government creates Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
2. They then mandate that companies using fossil fuels either generate a portion of renewable energy themselves (like wind or solar) or purchase RECs from other parties that produce renewable energy.
3. When you install a solar power system, you’re eligible to receive a certain number of RECs from the government, which is determined by the system’s size and your current location. If your system is under 100kW, these certificates are specifically called Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs).
4. These STCs can be sold (usually through a broker) to fossil fuel energy providers, and the money from that sale is used to lower your upfront solar installation costs.
You can expect a standard solar system to last 25 to 30 years, but this does depend on factors such as panel quality, installation, maintenance, and the specific brand.
A standard timeframe is roughly 3-6 years, but this does depend on multiple factors such as system size, electricity consumption, and local electricity prices.
